Liability for content

General law applies to our own content. Where this service contains third-party information or transmits or stores user content, the liability privileges of Articles 4 to 8 of the Digital Services Act (DSA) in conjunction with § 7 DDG apply, provided their conditions are met. Statutory obligations to remove or block unlawful content upon becoming aware of it remain unaffected.

User-generated content arises in two places in the game: self-chosen call signs and the text of feedback messages. Call signs are limited to six characters on the server and checked against a block list; no further prior review takes place. We accept notices of unlawful content at the address above and will act on them.

Liability for links

This service contains links to external third-party websites (in particular to the Google Play Store) over whose content we have no influence. We cannot accept liability for such external content; the respective provider or operator is always responsible.

Disclaimer regarding game content

Fleet Chess is an independent strategy game. It is not affiliated with any other board or video game publisher, and is neither licensed, sponsored nor otherwise endorsed by any of them. Third-party marks such as Google Play, Android or WhatsApp are the property of their respective owners and are used here purely descriptively.

The rules build on widely known game principles (grid guessing, chess move patterns), which as such are not protected by copyright. The graphics, texts, sounds and source code of the game are original works.

Copyright and third-party content

Content and works created by the provider are subject to German copyright law. The entire visual world of the game was created from scratch; no stock files, third-party logos or textures were used.

Some sounds in the "Realistic" setting come from CC0 sources (public domain, no attribution required). We name the authors anyway:

Full provenance documentation with source URLs, file sizes and checksums is maintained alongside the game's source code.
